And so ends Julia's record! Ha! That'll teach her to brag about being "unfoolable." You gave me a laugh, Jan. Thanks for that and the cute story.

Thank you so much for this review. I have fallen way behind on answering reviews, having hundreds I haven't had the chance to respond to. Please forgive me for this cookie-cutter reply. If I don't do this now, before I post more work in the coming weeks, I fear I will never catch up! Please know I have read your comments, and noted suggestions and corrections. In most cases I have made the corrections you suggested! I deeply appreciate my FanStory friends.

Janilou,

This is a delightful story. Poor Julia finally got her leg pulled.

I have one style comment: This sentence seems a bit long, with a lot of internal asides, and might be split into two:

As fate would have it, one of the station's long-time listeners, also a friend of the announcers contacted Julia to say he did, indeed, have a rubber arm she could borrow.

This story really grabbed my attention as I am an amputee! Well written and it could be tweaked with more humor. Good subject, made me laugh no hiccups. A different subject matter from the norm and you did well with it.

What a great funny story...and I can really imagine it too. I don't know if this is one of the K-Love stations but I also really enjoy a good Christian station where positive standards are upheld in an enJOYable way. God is so much fun to know. (Oh yes, my nemisis is found above in your piece..."neither" must always go with "nor"...same for "either" and "or.") I constantly have to deal with that little grammar glitch.) Many blessings, and thanks for the fun story. Roberta

This was a very cute Aprils fool joke that was played. She was trying to trick someone when they actually tricked her. Great story. Hugs, Teri

Hi, Jan! The editor's has been after you again. The first line of this article is: "morning while milking our dairy goats, I "
What an hilarious story! It "suckered me in", too! But that only means I am in good, good company (and Christian, too!)
Thanks! Gerry

Hugs back to you, dear Jan! I told my spiritual studies group about Gimpy aka Red Roses, and they were intrigued. I will take them a copy next Tuesday. The church is having several handicapped individuals share their spiritual journeys the week after next, at the Sunday service. I'm psyched! Gerry

This is cute:-)I love to hear about practical jokes!

I have some grammatical suggestions....

"I listen on line at www.life1019.com" Should be "online"

"The music is wonderful {,} and the friendly banter between" Two main clauses joined by a conjunction

"Her poor sister {,} was another story and Julia" this comma should be moved to after "story"

"one of the stations long-time listeners, also a friend of the announcers contacted" ... "stations" needs an apostrophe before the s. Also, you need a comma after "announcers" this too needs an apostrophe.

"to say he did {,} indeed, have a"

"Finally the harried sales girl" Should be "salesgirl"

"called the station's voice mail line." Should be "voicemail"

Keep up the good work!

I enjoyed this fun rubber arm April Fools joke.

My husband and I were really boring this year. We didn't pull anything on each other the entire day.

I'm sure Brent, Julia and all the folks at KNWS, Life 101.9 will greatly appreciate the free advertising and great story.

Love,
Ellen

Brilliant piece of work. They story was well told using God's gift of a great sense of humor. People often believe Christians to be always straight laced Bible thumping people, and preaching hell fire and damnation.

You have gone a long way to show that God also likes humor. I look forward to reading more material from you.

Take Care,

Miriam
