That was great. It brought a smile to my face and made me laugh out loud. Thank you for bringing "Julia's story" to the rest of us.
Very nice writing as well, good job!

Thank you so much for this review. I have fallen way behind on answering reviews, having hundreds I haven't had the chance to respond to. Please forgive me for this cookie-cutter reply. If I don't do this now, before I post more work in the coming weeks, I fear I will never catch up! Please know I have read your comments, and noted suggestions and corrections. one of the station's long-time listeners, also a friend of the announcers contacted Julia...'
?comma after 'announcers'?
prank, you really had to "be there" or at least hear Julia...'
?comma after 'there'?
Hi Jan,
I was a little disappointed at the dearth of 'April fools's' stuff on site, only saw a couple, so grabbed yours when the banner popped up.
Had a grin, but I think, as you say, you had to be there.
Makes me wonder what kind of prank requires the use of a rubber arm, tho. Raises all manner of possibilities, tho I do remember one I saw in a mag' that had a fake arm hanging out the trunk of a car, while it drove down the road, as if someone was locked in there. Backfired on them, when the cops pulled them over at gunpoint, tho:)
Did anyone ask Julia what she'd intended to do with it? or is she saving that till next year?
Good stuff, X.
PS. Don't forget to bill KNWS for the promotional work you've done for them LOL.

PS LOL I didn't ever get the chance to ask her! :-) KNWS is a listener-supported station, so I have to give them the promotion for free. LOL

Great story 0 one minor nit
I think it's - April Fools' day
If I understood this correctly, this was a prank played by tha announcers on all their listeners - am I correct or did I misinterpret the lack of results on the search

Thanks, Michael. Not quite - I just wanted to make sure I had my facts correct to tell the story as I heard it on the radio the other morning. So I typed in rubber arm on the radio's website to see if they had anything about it online. :-) They didn't.
I really appreciate the review and I corrected that nit.

Oh, dear. That one got everyone who had any contact with the station. I guess this goes along with someone asking another to lend me an arm or hand? Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jan:
Great little story. The only thing we never learned was what Julia was going to do with that arm as an April Fools joke on her sister.
I'm glad you have a radio station that gives you joy.

Well told, Jan. Glad you got a good start to your day. Those are always nice surprises. Here are a few notes to consider:
Here is the story they told, that made my day. --- Not really buying that comma.
in if they knew where she could find a rubber arm.
--- where she could find one.
but finally did so after the friend called to say he needed --- Spacing between 'friend' and 'called'
It seemed the arm had grown legs and scurried away! --- Exclamation point reads a little forced here.

How was she going to trick her sister with the rubber arm? This is indeed hilarious. Thanks for sharing, Jan! Hope the goats didn't go unmilked.
