I actually found art to go with this on the FanArt side, but it was a composite and asked if it was possible to have one with just a single image. She never got back to me, but as I wrote it, I realized that it would stand up very well on its own. This poem is special to me because all airs that children hold seemed to melted away. Thank you so much for this review and the compliments.

Interesting and entertaining poetry, supplemented by the comprehensive Author Notes. It sounds like a wonderful place you described - an adventure ground for kids. Nicely written.

We were a rough and tumble lot. Despite the waring, for the most part my friend and I explored every inch. But the rope swing became a juvenile community event. Thank you very much for the compliments and this review.

I didn't read the novel-notes..lol..but i did read the poem. I think you did a good job telling your story in free verse form. It took me back to that day when I shared the same type of adventure via the swing over the water. Nice way of describing the action here.

Thank you for the compliments and review, they are appreciated. If I took you back then the poem did its job, its that child in me that still keeps me going.

the rope swin was good, though may be a lttle different but still i swung, you do paint up some magical moments of back then when not much was on my mind at all except for cool fun, not much trouble to harrass me,

:) I fear the rope swing doesn't exist for as many kids as it should. Video games seems to take hold of too many of them, I joke with them, its cool to blow up the world, but we did it for real! lol When I see kids pklaying in the park, it does brighten me. These experiences are always there to hold us together as adults. Thanks for reviewing me.

A 5 for the story and a 5 for the author's notes. You should write the 'author's notes' story to go along with your beautiful poem. Very, very well done. ann

I enjoyed this memory very much. You are obviously very talented. I like the sweet stories more than the war type. But I have grown up to appreciate them all. Keep up the Excellent work and keep on sharing.

i guess you could call this one, "Childhood War and Peace." But it certainly was life. Thank you very much for your compliments and review.

Very well written poem! I could picture everything as it took place! It reminded me of my childhood and the rope we used to swing on over the creek. It was a good way ta have fun and everybody got along great! We also used to swing on grape vines out in the woods over the creek there! Thanks fer the memories!

We did the same with the vines until we rode them out and then rode them down. Thank you very much for your compliments and reviews.
