Steevie,

I read your poem and your notes. I am so sorry that your mother is gone. I am so sorry for your pain.

The theme was good. The flow was very nice. The descriptive words colored the imagery. All arrangement is fine, smoothly readable and understandable.

There was no SPAG. No typos. No homophones. No problems at all.

I look forward to seeing you again.

Love you,

Oatmeal

Not allowed to rate this remarkable work with the six warranted ( the two sixes/thirty day thing ), please know, Diane, that this work displays your mastery of a new form, and the ability to transport the reader into the experience portrayed. Wow! The reader, directed by intuition to juxtapose "child" for parent, and "daughter" for mother, is rewarded with insight into a heart-renting illness, and a glimpse of emotional turmoil, suffered through love, in the course of role reversal; the parent vulnerable, the child nurturing. "Dreams" provide a safe place, although the reality nightmarish, for a reader to sort out relationships, and to feel the distress - which isn't a safe place at all. A poem of contradictions that brilliantly, exquisitely, shares. Literally, an amazing experience lovingly communicated. Take care, my Friend, and God bless. Dante

Ah Friend! The tylenol with codeine, the inhaler, and whatever else it is that I have been given to fight off one nasty bout with influenza is about to take hold, but you must know before I slip off into - hopefully - at least five hours of deep sleep - how much I appreciate knowing that you enjoyed this small offering. How is it that you can read into my work like no other? This one took hold and just appeared; the form is rather intoxicating - and filled with so many possibilities! But they will have to wait until I my head stops spinning and I am no longer freezing! Be Well....literally and figuratively, Friend....diane

I can particularly relate to this one. My in-laws have been living with us for the last 12 years and both are ill. He has Alzheimers so I know exactly of what you speak. I know it is not easy on both sides and very difficult to watch.

we eased your fears, and all laughed
that something would dare
be so emboldened to
invade your place of dreams?

Very nicely written.
Warmest regards,
Ami

This is really thought-provoking. The imagery is so vivid, and the little child with "pigtails, bright sun and tricycles" could have been me. With this one, you have hit on my childhood memories and well as a possibility of the future. This is just excellent. bard owl

I enjoyed reading this poem. It was refreshing with vibrant images that remind us all of our childhood.
I think the back drop and art work compliment the meaning and the meaning of the poem. Nice

I truly love this poem! it made tears wellin my eyes. It is so true. I remember myself as a child how safe i felt being near my Mother and Father, and after my Father passed away...I now share care for my Mother. God has been so gracious and merciful in the plan he orchistrated for the family. It is all sealed in Love, If we will!
Beautifully written poem . great work!
Thanks,
Capristar

I thought your piece of poetry was beautiful, and the reader could tell if was from your heart, and soul! You went through those things in life so in the end could help your mother, and have compassion! Connie
