You've managed to place burr under my saddle with this exquisitely written, poignant reminder that fear, "Taunting," "Threatening," "Terrorizing," blocks the path of a fool who ought be on his knees - praying for strength. Ah Dante...I was hoping you'd stop by. In all honesty, it is not a "triumph," but it surely consolidates and captivates what I feel about the past, present, and future...the New Year must be better than the last - too many wounded moments and hearts....and souls....for one lifetime...or at least my lifetime....Be Well, Friend. I cannot wait for the day when I can share with you that my book is finally published! Seems to be taking ever so long!

This packs quite a message! It's a joy to read and ponder! Most anyone who reads this should be able to relate, in some form. Each year we can look back to words we wish we hadn't spoken, chances we missed, mistakes we made, and things we wish we'd handeled differently. I love the ending of your poem. The last stanza is very powerful, saying you pray to God to not be a fool again. Beautifully written!

A very nice write to bring hope with the new year. New words, new paths to take, new dreams to give us all the joys we can imagine. Good write to let us all know that life will lead us anywhere we wish it to take us...the possiblities endless. To not take advantage of these freedoms would leave us just that....The Fool!

Beautifully written poem about change, possibilities, and how it affects us. Love the last lines the most, but these spoke to me too, so filled with reality.
