What a superb subject you've chosen for this poem, and your rhyme is right-on. I enjoyed this very much (but I would have liked to see even more of it).

Nicely done. Best of luck.

Hi,

Indeed, he was that alright. This is beautifully penned and presented.

Sometimes I think we are taking steps backwards with all the unrest. So sad to see the lines drawn in the sand of bigotry.

I sadly believe that what's left of my lifetime, we'll never see the unrest be gone.

Wonderful job with this one. The best of luck to you in the contest.

Cheers & Blessings

Witout ever thinking about it when Martin Luther King day rolled around this year I discovered that the man was only in his thirties.

He likely never had a speech writer and spoke each word from the heart and eventually (although in hindsight) at a very young age was silenced.

Well done.

Yes such a great man who had the courage to speak out and change the path of history. Many have a lot to thank him for. All the best in the contest with this reminder in good quatrain form. jennieclare

He did a lot to fight for all races to have equal opportunities and he made a lot of progress before his horrible death. This was a great tribute and with good imagery too. Your friend, Cody

This is done well. There is a "near-rhyme" in the first two lines but it is close enough to qualify as a rhyme. Nice tribute to Dr, King and all he has done for equal rights for all.Good job!

Thanks for giving me feedback, with the help of OneLook Dictionary search, I corrected the mistake.
It now reads "A man of honor who heard our cries," and etc.

Definitely a great person to write about in this quatrain Artura. His position on human rights definitely did lift us to new heights. Good job. Good luck in the contest.

Your quatrain poem has good rhyming couplets and makes a strong statement about the significant contribution this American hero made to the betterment of human relations and civil rights in our country. Brooke

I would like to thank you mrscutiepie for reviewing my quatrain poem, I tried hard
to stay within the guidelines of such a poem for the contest.
