We can never be reminded enough about what Martin Luther stood for. Sadly, there are newer generations that turn to violence instead of using their brains and hearts. Unfortunately, special leaders are few and far between. Hugs, Lou

Thanks for the five stars and comment. The newer generations are like what the bible say, they have strayed and following
their gods. Maybe, in time when economical and all the other -cals get better their minds will change also. I think they don't see a future. If, I might say a leader for all the people, one who have a broad mind would be of help.

Thank you for the five stars and your comment about MLK being a man with vision.

Gosh, I just read my review again ... darn spell check!!! It's supposed to read as MLK was a great man with vision for the NATION - not nature... although I'm sure he loved nature too.

Thank you again for your thoughtful review :-) ~ DD

This is a great tribute to a person who fought for civil rights. He was one among very few who stood courageously against all odds. Thank you for sharing such a nicely written poem

This is a great way to remember such an influential figure . The artwork is fantastic too. I think artwork should be shared over and a perfect time to do so.

The poem focus civil rights.
The poem story line development a man hears our cries, wins the Nobel Prize, for his stand on civil rights, leads us to new heights.
The rhyming is aa bb to carry the reader to each stanza.
The natural pauses gives the reader time to absorb and understand the message.
The rhythm is a solid beat of each word as each are important.
The emotion felt pride for a better tomorrow.
Keep on writing

He certainly was a leader of the civil rights in your country. So much he could have done, always there are those special people who are born to lead and put all people first. Good luck in the contest.

He was all that and so much more. Brave beyond the limits of most cautious men, Martin said on more than one occasion if you were afraid to die for a cause, then you were basically living for nothing. Yes, I know that was a paraphrase but I stand by the accuracy of the intended meaning. We may never again see the likes of this brave, heroic and courageous man. Did he have flaws, who besides Jesus did not? Paul, Peter, Mark, Matthew. We call these men Saints today and yet their imperfections were recorded in the Holy Bible.

Odes to Martin Luther King Jr. were like rice in Asia back in his day. Yours is certainly a good addition to the subject, and fairly decent poetry.

Yes, my mind boggled a bit when I clicked on the contest link and found the closing date was over 8 years ago!

What a great man he was, and ahead of his time in his stance on how to bring about change.
