Very good, my friend. I appreciate you pointing this one out to me. I can see why it got the poem of the month nomination. It is very creative. It is true for those who can write romance... writing can be a powerful tool to create a spark. I don't write romance very well, but have an appreciation for those who do. Well done- sam

I wish I'd read this when I could give it the six it deserves. Beautiful lyrical words, great rhythum and the feeling of rolling through time, I don't know, just lovely to read.

i hold the pen
tightly
slowly moving
quicker
across the page
with kisses
of a private soul
publicly writing
for all to listen
in silence

You've got some very creative imagery here and I like your presentation. One almost feels a sense of excitement as the pen faces the naked page, ready to create something beautiful.

I'm going to read all the entries and choose the one I like best but I think it's a great honour to have been nominated in the first place. Well done, penelope

Good poem with some interesting thoughts about writing a poem....for a lover, perhaps? The double meanings that so many are writing into their poetry these days can get tiresome after awhile, but this will look good in your book and has your usual creative touch. Good luck.
