there is no pallet of hues
all is black and white through and through
for you see the reds, blues, silver and greens
are only present in your dreams
so the hues lay in a pallet of nondescript
with nothing in the way of a landing strip
for everything in this life is black and white
and devoid of every colorful hue
life is just a blandness to perceive
no colors will run on this pallet of hues to see... John
your piece of poetry was very well written and presented...

Hi Shelley--haven't seen you lately on the post board--this is refreshing and so well done. Your imagery-packed lines would stand beautifully alone, yet the overall presentation is also spectacular. Not a thing to change here, I really liked 'the dark blues of deliciously refreshing water comforting the globe' That is a memorable line. Thank you for sharing this challenge poem.

Hi Shelley. You have done very well with this challenge from Gautam. Yuo have described some lovely images, for example, "the whites of innocence streaking the sky." Well done.

I have, just this minute, posted my monochrome painting, isn't this an omen? ha ha
One goes through all the hues, shades crosshatched planes of negative spaces. The colours beautiful, one must cherish for eternity.
the dark blues
of deliciously refreshing water
comforting the globe
My water, my life.

Colorful hues have always been important to me andI like how you've brought in a variety of them for this challenge and ascribed meaning to each one. Nicely done, Shelley!

Shelly,
I got my words meaningfully expressed here. Colors are so nicely expanded through their own unique expanses, the whole atmosphere created by your lines has become utmost serene.
Reading and visualizing is a great pleasure while I go through this nicely structured free verse. I find your title used for the poem is fully relevant also ( extra thanks as those are from your challenged words too)
I express by heartfelt thanks for such a nice contribution and hope it must enrich and add another feather to your book.

Nature's pallet serves us all
by showing us the way
by whisp of cloud or glimps or call
to find what's right to say
You've done wuite nicely here my dear
of showing where we find
all those hues and trends so clear
and floating in our minds.
