This was another lovely chapter showing the growing relationship between Sami and Noah. The Mothers Day message at the end was very nice and appreciated. I have a daughter, son, and one grandson. :-)

This is a very pleasing story with a lot of heart. There is just the right amount of threat to keep it from being to easy and soft. The budding romance between Noah and Sami is advancing at a good speed, not too fast but too slow either. I really like it.

The signs of love are growing between Sami and Noah, these things are are developing around a cast of characters quite sympathetic to the narrative, I love the exchange between Noah, Jose and Bob, Ryan has had his Mobile removed and protests, but there's no way it will find its way into his hands, well done Barbara, well done, great write, blessings Roy

Good job

So, Ryan's some peeping Tom and sexual harasser? And he's married?
Gee, how Brown got fired.
One can feel the school-crush sexual tension between Sami and Noah. Kinda cute--for adults.
Nice Mothers' Day shout-out to all adult females at the end.

There's really two parts to this episode; the part where Noah confronts Ryan, and you have some intense, sharp dialogue there that shows Noah is no nonsense and Ryan is up the creek. He seems a bit resigned. Then there is the part where Noah and Sami have that conversation and it reveals some things about her; her former romance, its disappointed ending, and how she got over it by concentrating on her softball tournament. She is focused on making it her way. Noah seems intrigued. estory

Barbara, Can you ever forgive me? I somehow missed this chapter and now I have no more sixes left. I just feel so bad. I think this is the first time it's ever happened. I think the chapter is just perfect and I'll be looking forward to what's next. Ulla xcx

Thank you for the kind review. Don't worry abou the sixes. I understand how fast they go.
-
I just feel bad about it xx
-
I understand. Sometimes I accidently give a six away to an undeserving post and I don't realize it until there's one I want to give it to. Then I go back and attempt to figure out where it went.
-
That's exactly what happened here.

Hi Barbara,
This was a really good chapter, and deserves a six. I'm out of them for the week. I wish I had gotten to this sooner. It's outstanding. Such a unique love story, for sure. The two want each other, but know they are just out of reach. Noah is a tough nut to crack, too. He's all business, which is scary for Sami, but has a good heart. If he just knew how to relate, lol.
Hugs,
Rhonda

Barb,
I enjoyed this piece, though I do not agree that it's a short post for FS - hahaha! I always seemed to have my best luck with pieces around 750-1200. Maybe things have changed.
I liked the part about the moat with alligators. Nice! AND the Mother's Day wishes. Right backatcha!! Hugs-
Thanks!

We've some people complain about the posts under 1500 words. LOL Thank you for the kind review,
-
Sure. I remember that, too. But they always seemed to be in the minority.
I just always figured (& many folks were honest enough to confirm! Haha) that when people were going through to review ~ random ~ not your dedicated fan base?
When people come up on a new piece, they tend to look at the length. They may or may not look at the payout.
To read 1,500 words takes between 5-12 minutes depending on individual speed. Plus title, intro, characters, notes, etc.
If they actually actively review to help improve anything, add much more time?maybe double that. (For me, it?s about 4x).
On the other hand, a 2-4 stanza poem probably takes about 15-45 seconds. Does not usually require a ton of notes, which means you grab the $$ and go.
My goal was 750-1000. When I just had to bc of stopping-places, my longest would mostly push 12. I?d rather do 500 and stop than go long. Maybe post two/day.
But like I said, this was a little bit back, too. (Out of curiosity, is it Garrett encouraging the longer pieces??)
Hugs and sloppy smoooooches? your weird buddy~ robo

Sami's little half hugs are a cute idea. She and Noah aren't doing a very good job of pretending they aren't interested in each other. You need to change the line . . . through (his) short hair. Hope you had a lovely Mother's Day.

Thank you for the catch. I make that mistake often. One would think, I'd start looking for it, but I don'. LOL I appreciate the help.
