I think this is a really great pirate story chapter. Consider enhancing the dialogue with emotion in place of phrases like "The Captain then said"... Pirates are emotional people and the Reverend must have been a sly fox caught in a trap

A well written chapter. The Reverand is now gone. Things look a little bleaker, but we already know the boy will survive. The question now is how did he do it?
notes:
"You lost your {¢?}"" He bit
- knife?

Nicely done! I thoughtt his chapter was strong. You really brought me into a a tense and emotionally charged situation aboard the ship. The dialogue feels authentic does a good job in showing us the each character's motivations. This was an enjoyable read.

This is a little different from what I'm used to reading, but a welcome change. A pirate story, they have always been a trifle brutal with their enemies, or their perceived useless ones, the reverend didn't make a sound when he hit the water, but no bible in his articles, well done, beautifully written, blessings Roy
