Thank you for giving us insight into the life of a real, but humble writer. I promise if I ever publish a novel, you will not have to pester me for an interview. I think I am safe on that promise.
I love your pharmacy tech turns writer at night. She has the true heart of a writer. She rewrote the dialogue of a book she was reading to make it more interesting.

Yes! That vignette with her writing in the margins of someone else's book was my favorite part, too. Definitely a writer through and through!!
And maybe, just maybe I wouldn't have to wait until your a published author to interview you? You realize, of course, the double-sided HOOT we would have with such a project, right? I think we owe it to ourselves to indulge! Please let me know. xoxox

This was fun and amazing to read on many levels. The conversational format was very comfortable and inviting. I feel I know Gretchen better now too, since I always freeze at her acronym. Sorry Gretchen! Bad memory. I have a daughter too. I'm an artist too. I also just took on a publisher for my books and stories. I could relate to so much. This was fun!

I heard every word of your questions in your zany fashion and the cool, calm n and collected response coming from Gretchen.
The voice from her answers was the same voice I got from Iris (totally loved that book).

G W Hargis apparently understands her characters well and is not afraid to go back and do what is necessary to stay true to them and to herself.

I'm a big fan of Gretchen's work here on Fan Story. She's a great storyteller. I've really been enjoying her work involving Heddy and her dead grandmother and the other characters. She's got a lot of talent and displays it well, all the while maintaining a full time job. I wish I had that kind of energy. Well done on the interview gal. I learned a lot about her because of the questions you asked.
