Lovely short rhymed poem about nature and gratitude. It sounds like a meditation... has a zen quality..... my kind. (*รท*)

I don't why you say you're not a poet. This sounds like a good poem to me. I feel the same way you do. If I'm stressed out or just physically tired, getting out into nature can totally relax me. It is especially nice in the spring or fall when the temperature is just right.

Thank you, Beth. I'm okay with a couple of rhyming lines and limited freeverse, but little else. Lol. Gretchen

I would say you are a poet. I am jealous because you can write prose and poetry. I can only do prose. My few attempts at poetry have been total failures. Thank you for sharing.

It hits a few times a year. Lol. I would never boast I'm a poet but I do enjoy a nice rhyme. Thank you. Gretchen

I don't read a lot of poetry, but for my favorite prose writers who throw one in now and then. And you've painted a nice picture with your enjoyable words of rhyme. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. I'm glad you read this. I love to read poetry unless it's too pretentious. Then it's a smorgasbord. LOL. Appreciate this. Gretchen

I like it. I am do not know what makes a poet, but I suggest writing a poetry has something to do with it. I really like the idea of a shy sky peeping through a canopy. I feel this would have been a strong entry for the faith poetry contest. 5 stars.

This is a sweet account of a peaceful stroll you take perhaps everyday .I can understand this very well ;the woods the breeze the sky ,all together take a load off your shoulders and make you contended..I liked the alternate rhymes too

I think it is a beautiful poem, written with clarity and a freshness that takes the reader with you. Vivid, so we too feel the easing of pressure with the crisp, cool air, and Mother Nature's gentle and comforting hug, and her kiss on a gentle breeze. I think you really are a poet! Lovely poem.
