I like this, Sally. So much in life is fleeting--beauty, time, even wind. Rather, set your sights on the mountains. Sounds Biblical, but not necessarily limited to Biblical interpretations. The symbolism is strong and seems to be perfect for a Japanese poem that draws meaning from nature.
Hope you had a wonderful Easter, my friend.

Loved your haiku! Yes, the mountain stays the same even as other natural events and human history keeps changing constantly. Your poem has that definite haiku feeling.

Yes, there is security in knowing some things don?t change, as others ebb and flow in life. Thanks for sharing your insights. Much appreciated.

I had never heard of a Kimo poem before. This was lovely. Nice descriptions. The artwork that accompanies the iem adds to the presentation. Good job.
