Your poem reminded me of my youth when I used to read his work: Julius Caesar, Henry V, Romeo & Juliet and a few others. I truly enjoyed your springtime love theme. It was a comforting read. Thank you so much for your artistry and sharing a piece of yourself.

Thank you for your super nice review. I actually read a John Keats poem called "Song" before starting this one.

In Europe, Robins leave England and spend the winter in the Canaries and always return home in the Spring to nest. Those that cannot survive the journey, brave the winter. Your Sonnet is blessed with warm thoughts about this bird's survive against the odds and it is a joy to read Crystie, a well metered and rhymed Sonnet for the Contest and I wish you luck, love Dolly x x x

What a lovely poem. You describe the robin well. Robins do deserve our praise. Sometimes, I think they are taken for granted. I love the picture, It stands out. This poem is well written. great job.

The robin is our state bird. The most wonderful species that God put on this earth. Every characteristic that you wrote about is so true. Hopefully, you do well with this poem.

Sweet thoughts, and mostly true, but here in Carolina robins have the whole year to prep their downy Spring form whose allures the he and hses of robinhood, them never being confused as to which they are.

Thank you for your great review. I was thinking birds don't have the lifespan of people, but you are so right.

Those cardinals are indeed a very attractive birds, they are also birds that stay around for the cold weather, and apparently they love the spring, I suppose that is their mating time also, this is beautifully written Crystie, well done, great sonnet, blessings Roy

Thank you for your kind words and review. I think I've only written one poem about cardinals. This one was about robins.
