Yes - a great entry for the Write a Modern Fable, as the fable emerges definitively as the narration proceeds and a tale for our times and our attitude to 'life's essential resources.'

I enjoyed this fable very much. You kept me guessing about the ending after introducing the rhino and the elephant. You also certainly wrote a modern fable.

I don't think that anything we say and will make any differences to the world's resources any, renewable energy is too far in the future, and way too expensive. meanwhile coal is the only cost efficient way. Nuclear seems to be the answer, but risky. We've become luxury motivated. Expediency seems to be what we're good at, but well done, great analogy, blessings Roy
