This is an entry for the 5-7-5 poetry contest. The syllable count meets the criteria. This poem brought a smile. The message is true of so many things. They sound good until you go to actually do them. Then, the reality changes the experience. Nice work. Good luck in the contest.

Sounds like you are well aware of the history behind this film and that particular scene! Ie Kelly's obsession with making it flawless resulting in so many takes that someone (himself?) got pneumonia, if I remember right. The result looks and sounds effortless, with the perfectly honed orchestration and smooth steps, but who would know.
I missed the MGM reference through!
