Regardless how strong you are or how many times you've faced a battle, the fear of the unknown and the thought of fighting again will always leave the taste of fear in our mouths. Stay strong!

Loann, you've completed an incredulous coup...To battle the big "C" and win is nothing short of miraculous...Cancer is an ogre that doesn't care
about age/wealth/race/religion/attitude/location or status. Your being
brave enough and skillfully enough to fit this "Ostrich Effect" into a telling compressed "four lines" is amazing in itself. Your selection of artwork is
also noteworthy. Thanks for sharing this gut-wrenching, but heart warming triumph with us here at Fanstory. Good luck in the contest. teafor2

Waiting is the all time hardest. Through several journeys with different people, we have tried every which way to appreciate the peace of NOT Knowing, and while our brains may buy it, our bodies absolutely do not. My tummy is tight just thinking about the next upcoming scan. Honest poem, sending you the best wishes.

Congrats for beating cancer, and thanks for sharing a part of your life with us! The picture also adds to the poem with the uncertainty that lies ahead. Good luck!

-Nice artwork and presentation, Loann.
-I am glad you have fought and won twice;
I hope that good results follow from this time.
-I understand your fear; no one wants to face this.
-I am glad you wrote a poem for it, and hope it helps you.
-The syllable count is good and the poem looks good.
-Good luck in the contest; thoughts are with you, too.

I've fought all kinds of infections, especially in the past two years, and God got me through it all. One that worried me a bit was melanoma, but you can't even tell I ever had it now! I hope you will be blessed with a miraculous heling!

Hello, Loann,
Such a frightening wait; I, too, know...
One edit needed:
Your offering contains the correct syllable count; however, on my computer, your poem contains 5 lines as opposed to the required 4 lines.
Easy fix.
Thank you for sharing!
Best wishes!
