So, this poem was so good it gave me chills! It is so beautifully written. I love, "When death claimed you I thought my heart might break, but what I felt for you death couldn't take." And "Like candy hearts, the memories are sweet." You get all the stars from me, and congrats on your win!

Hi Beth,
This poem shows both your love for your husband and your faith.
I agree with you that I would like to relive the good and the bad times
with my husband again when he dies. Both help build the love you have.
Congrats on winning the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Have a great week.
Joan

A heartfelt poem that filled me with emotion and admiration for the poet! Love doesn't die when one can no longer touch the object of love. The memories last as long as we live. Kudos to you! RFL

I'm sorry for your loss. This poem is a beautiful tribute to your husband and the love you shared. It rhymed so effortlessly and the sentiment was real. Congradulations on the win.

In our 6th decade together I lost my best friend, my husband, my true love. I'm now nearly finished hat would have been our 7th decade I also dream of the day when we will meet again. Some other place, some other time. Your poem brought so many of those thoughts back to me. Your meter is even, your rhyming is smooth. It strengthens my faith that there is a new future togther, ahead.

What a Beautiful Memory you Shared I wish we all could be joined together up above when our time comes. My wife and I are going to share our 44th Valentines together. When we met we went to her friends house one day and they had a painting on their living room roof that made me feel like I was there before Dejabo since then my wife who grew up in many places that were very close to where I lived insisted we were together in a previous life. Thank you for Sharing your Valentines poem and God Bless you for Sharing this personal Memory

Thank you for a great review. There are a lot of people who believe we keep coming back and reconnecting with the same family members. But maybe with a diferent role. Personally I hope the next stage is not in the same on world that seems to get worst as it goes.

It's true love and I love that you got to experience it. My husband and I are the same way. I think I just love him more everyday. I have lunch with him at his work place every Wednesday and I absolutely love those lunches. You did a great job with this and know that you're not alone today. He's right here with you.

Yes, real love lasts forever, for the few who've ever actually felt it, or knew what it was when they found it. It's refreshing to know that it truly exists for those few. Thanks for sharing.

What a wonderful poem you wrote about your life with your husband. I could feel the lasting love.

My thoughts were with my livelihood, also, when reading. Love will last forever even if there are disagreements that usually happens when married.

I think might have been Billy Graham's wife who said "If we always agreed on everything, there would be no need for one of us." I'm so glad you liked my poem and I really appreciate the six stars.
