Even for those of us who watch no other game all year, the festive nature of the Super Bowl draws us in. Food, fun, and lots of cheering and moaning as the game progresses. It's all about enjoying it together.

LOL, I wrote this in the middle of the night before Sunday so it could be here all day. OMGosh, thank you so much for this absolutely lovely review and fun comments. And of course the big six star points before the extra point. haha!
You made my day with this wonderful review. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love the fact that I have another football friend. I guess you might say we SCORED BIG because we were already friends, but another fun thing to connect.

Did you watch the Super Bowl? Your poem brings up many main facts about this sport. The Chiefs are winners again. I do think that Taylor Swift adds a lot of glamour to the sport of football. She is quite a lady! Young girls look up to her.

In Australia we footie supporters often utilise these breaks by having a drink. With so many breaks, I'd be smashed after fifteen minutes.

The huddle together and then go into formation, and then they pile on top of each other. It's a very strange game. Occasionally, a weird shaped ball gets tossed and the guy who catches it is "IT" and they all pile on him. That's all I saw so I don't watch it! Besides I was having too much fun with my grandson.

Hahahaha, the part about the mass was all Sally's fault. I promise LOL.
I had kick some grass, and Sally said, just say it how it is. Use the right word.
And what did I do? I listened.
Hey Sweetie, I grew up with football, learned how to be a boy by six, outside playing with my brothers, catching frogs, snakes and playing football, so did I watch the game?
Nope, I in my room and went to bed early. Wasn't feeling the best. So I have been real careful about sleep lately. Actually I am doing all good things for myself. Still staying away from salt, sugar and if they ever get me in for that scan I will know more what is next.
Anyway, I was going to email you, but I have to say thank you for the lovely Valentine card. I appreciate it so much. I am horrible at phone calls and snail mail.
But I did have something else in mind for you. (Smile)

of 9 family members...$3.00 dollars a week...
we all received pages at the beginning with every
team that played...we chose the teams we thought
would win that week...when all the games were played...
the one with the most wins collected the $27.00...
it wasn't so much the money...but it was fun to win it...
it was great to have the family staying close together...
and one always telling the other...they just got lucky...
I love your description of the Super Bowl football game...
it made me laugh...but you nailed it...to think some people
pay thousands of dollars to go see it my sweet friend...

LOL, QC, I ask as a special favor for you to please read my poem again, as I made a few changes to make it more evident that the tailgating was for fans, not players. I had the word fan in there before and another guy said it was obvious.
I think I made the rest sound much better, but sorry, I couldn't do enough stanzas to put special teams in there so they were skipped for my Super Bowl. LOL...
Besides that part, would you please tell me if you think it reads better now, per your comments. Which I do appreciate very much. It's hard to be objective when you look at it for so long. And as much as I love football, writing and 8 syllable poem, putting the info in it with rhyme and meter can be difficult. However I appreciate it so very much. Thanks again. Debi

I ate the snacks, but neglected the Super Bowl. I did watch some of the Puppy Bowl, however. I'm a baseball sand good movies guy. But I hope you enjoyed your Super Bowl Sundy!

Ann, how awesome that you won, and your team too. Y'know Terry always said that you and I have so much more in common than we knew.
So you just named one. As a child I had to learn the game because of being raised with three brothers. Tackle football at six, catching frogs and snakes.
To this day, I am the only one in my family who will pick up a snake. I bet there is our difference. LOL..
I don't do it often, but just when the grandkids see them and get scared. Even my husband is petrified. Anyway my point was I love football!
