A lovely story in a 100 word flash fiction.
Congratulations for All Time Best and for being recognized.
A positive fantasy, well, a positive anything, these days, is a welcomed thing. "Let your mind soar!." :)

Thanks so much for your review. It was one of those days when I needed to stop writing about drama and do something happy and magical. Thanks.....

I like the imagination at play here and the way it touches upon children's interpretatins of the world around them. I also like the reveal at the end. Good luck for the contest! :)

Good day! Thank you for taking the time to read and more importantly, to enjoy my bit of fantasy. We all need to keep a tiny corner, even hidden deep inside, to enjoy being a child with all its wonder. Thank you!

What a magical story!

A fantasy is just as real as the belief people have in it. You did a great job of capturing Lilly's wide-eyed wonderment and Trevor's cynicism. The bit at the end, with Pierre soaring by, was the cherry on top. Excellently done!

Nicely done. You have excellently used the writing prompt. The artwork you chose is perfect, too. When you decided to start writing again, you made up for lost time. Best of luck in the contest.

I just needed a bit of lightness so I could continue with my other story. I am happy that you enjoyed this one.

This is a great 100-word fiction piece. He missed all the magic as he slept and woke defiant of what she saw and saw what he knew couldn't be reality.

This is whimsical and airy, B. Again! I loved it!

Best, JohnC

Thank you so much, John. I needed something light and magical and somehow found it in those few words. Maybe the bird was really an angel sent to watch over the two. A nice warm thought.

    Good morning, Lisa
I appreciate your comments and taking the time to read my magical thoughts... Could the bird have been an "angel?"

    Have a great day! Carol

    Hi there,
A little sweet bird told me that I must have had my finger slip to a 4 Star when it of course deserved a 5 Star.
I wish I had known right away so I could have fixed the error immediately?
    I am so sorry?.

This is quite a good 100-word story with a hint of magic. Or a wonderful dream that came to life. Seems like it should be a very good competitor in the contest. Best of luck.

Thanks, Carol.... I needed a brief reprise from the drama and it seemed like a magical place to settle. I wonder if the bird was actually an angel, watching over the children.

I'm glad you picked up on the spiritual part. In my mind, I thought the beautiful bird might have represented an "angel" watching over the two youngsters. Thanks so much, Wendy.

Nice story. Error-free as near as I can tell.
They were exhausted enough to sleep at lunchtime?????? (smiley face here)
What is a divine (celestial) bird?
Good luck in the contest.

Thank you, Wayne.... The youngsters had climbed a very, very long way. Besides if they didn't nap, how could I finish my storyline? And the celestial bird.... possibly an "angel" watching over the two children.
