LOL, I read this and chuckled. Who in this scenario was the one retrained? I like your humor and can appreciate how, after sixty years, things may have changed. I enjoyed your story. One typo in #10, "her retraing", should be: her retraining".

I really enjoyed reading this post. I'm married fifty-five years and your observations resonate with my spirit. My husband does things for me, and I do things for him. He overlooks things I do that annoy him, and I do the same. After all these years, we're finally both well trained. Isn't love grand?

When the questionnaire asked me what I did for a living, I said I'm just a housewife. My husband immediately stopped me and he said no she is not a housewife. She's my wife And if I come home and there's something that is not done and I want to take her someplace, she must be willing to go with me and then I will help her when I get back. Good point. Oh yes, you guys need training... Unless you had great training from your mothers.
Put the toilet seat done is one of them... Arm for the toilet bowl. Never throw your bath towel on the floor... was behind your ears...use deodorant
and bring home flowers every once in awhile...
