Your perfect word choices put us right in the center of this beautiful simple romance. Thank you for doing that. I enjoyed reading. As usual, your presentation is unequalled by all.

The imagery in this free verse is striking and beautiful, highlighting the love and bond between two souls. It flows with great rhythm - just like the universe itself. Without end.

Wow. This was beautiful. I could picture every scene and all the colors and scents were very vivid. This was a very cool poetic form. I'm learning a lot about poetry from you. I might not be able to do it but I'm learning what to look for in it. Gretchen

Oh, good, that's what Japanese poetry is about.... using the senses to visualize the words imagery. I'm glad you are learning it, it's such a beautiful poetic form that most wouldn't hear about it.
Thank you very much for your excellent review and kind words.

I see all the earmarks of a Japanese poem with lack of punctuation, lack of rhyme, lack of capitalization, no particular meter, and often written in a three line format. Other than that I see no discernible difference with a free verse poem. Not to say that this isn't a lovely piece with excellent imagery. It is romantic. You can really feel the essences of nature.

Japanese poetry is not just 5-7-5. haiku. There are so many forms... but haiku is the most popular. But you are right about lack of punctuation, lack of rhyme, lack of capitalization, no particular meter, about nature or human nature.
Thank you very much for your excellent review and kind words.

This poem is beautifully written and full of romantic phrases. You should enter the Romantic poem contest since you write a lot of romantic poetry. The presentation presents burning love also.
Well done.

Just love that last stanza Gypsy, such a blast with words that colour and give a thrust to the narrative, the wind pours down the cliff, singing the scent of the ocean to us. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

Oh how I love your romantic poems. You are such a natural at these beautiful free verse treasures. I know I have told you before how I tend to melt a little at your lovely words and enjoy the beauty of how you word each and every line to make it as beautiful as your gorgeous art and entire presentation. I checked out both your contests for this week already and wondered if I was brave enough to try this one.
We will see, as February is looking like a big month for birthdays and also to see how brave I am. LOL... And one more thing about you and your beautiful poem, in the words of Carly Simon, nobody does it better! Love, Debi

It is basically a free verse.. pretty easy but you sound very busy this month, maybe in March. You can write it any time. It's okay to write from previous events.
Thank you very much, Debi 😊

Actually I have been practicing, and I do get the best feedback from your contests. So thank you and I do have to post something continuous so I will look at the birthday schedule and might be back to join one.
Thanks for all you do to help everyone learn about these lovely forms of Japanese poetry..
