I love it, Beth. I really do. You really made a huge mistake with that dog, didn't you? It really made me smile although it was not a laughing matter. What a feisty family you have had. Ulla xcx

Nicely written.
Bless you for trying so hard with Connie, your difficult one. I'm sure it wasn't easy, far easier to just give up on her.
Best wishes.

I have to say your adventures with animals cause more problems than solved. I am glad that Connie enjoyed volunteering; it proved that, down deep, she is not a juvenile delinquent.
Good job.

Best wishes,
Mary

Thank you Mary, She had a good heart but at time she seemed to to get herself into a lot of trouble. She would finally come aroun but it would take a while.

I'm glad you ended this on a positive note, Beth. I love that Connie enjoyed her punishment and volunteered at the church. It sounds as if you have enough on your hands without having to put up with snooty cats and teething dogs!

Life can become pretty hectic when you are responsible for three children (regardless of age), a dog, and two cats who do not want to be friends with the family. Teenagers are a real challenge, until they grow older. You're doing a fantastic job getting this all down on paper. The memories are priceless. Thanks for sharing.

Another interesting chapter to your life story. Teenagers can be hard work, but I don't think labels such as potential juvenile delinquent are either helpful or necessry. Hope he gave you some practical and realistic strategies as well. And to have this all compounded by less than admirable pets! I feel for you.

Edit: admired an enjoyed working with (and)

Thank you Wendy. I was shocked by the label. I think she was too because it shook her up for a while but she did have a knack for getting in trouble.

I think all teenagers go through a rebellious stage in life Beth and to be labelled by a professional as a delinquent is not very helpful and you paid good money to hear that! I am glad she eventually adjusted and found something of interest to focus her attention on, love Dolly x

My first three children didn't really go through that. They went trough some emotional highs and lows but not actaully rebellion. I guess I was slightly rebellious growing up, at least in my mind if I didn't act but I was never like her. A lot of teen are though. Thanks for the review and comments.

Thank you for sharing these memories with us. Yes, teenagers and pets can both be a pain. I have been there and enjoy reading.

Kokomo was still teething and he destroyed the roof of his house, (comma after 'teething' or you can omit 'he' and leave out the comma)

Thank you Barbara. I'm glad my teenagers finally grew up. I don't grandparents can handle raising their teenage grandchildren like some have to do. I guess we do what we need to do but it wouldn't be easy.

Ah the joy of teenagers I had two teenage sons wow did they ever get my head spinning for sure! My youngest son used to get into mayhem more than my older ones did he was a handful constantly having keep an eagle eye on him. Great story and also conveys the message and creates a lesson to be learned. Casino issues with grammar esthetic subject matter or sentence structure great entry I quite enjoyed from beginning to end I hope you have the best day!

This last child was definitely my hostle teenage problem for a while. The others gave me plenty of other kind of problems but they weren't angry teenage rebels.

I couldn't help but laugh at you trying to fix one problem while creating another, which convinces me that our lives with children and pets resemble each others. Thanks for the fun read!
