At this point you probably couldn't wait until all your children were on their own especially with Connie reacting so poorly to discipline. The stay with unsupervised freedom definitely had its effect on her.

Thank you. I could understand why some of her problems were due the fact she was taken away from her frends and put in a school what more advanced than the one she had been in New Orleans and then she did have us with her for a while. I felt I needed to try harder to help her get back on track. The others didn't get us the same kind of problems that she did.

I think it is wonderful that you can remember and relate the happenings as they happen. You must have realized before you started writing that you wanted to make a story about you and your family's life. Great results for sure.

Thank you Rosemary. My memory has been pretty good with things that happened years ago but not so much with more recent things.

That's true isn't it everyone wants the all-inclusive answer but it often comes in increments with many answers and many experiences so very good! And what an excellent storyteller you are believable characters that have meet and personality and I could follow along easily without an issue. I see no issues with subject matter sentence structure or grammar is a great job that I enjoyed reading from beginning to end I hope that you continue writing and that your day is amazing!

Thank you Lea, You are getting acquainted with my family just as i am with yours. Actually, I really like you and your sister seems nice but other members of you biological family aren't exactly pleasant. You to be a part of one family that was really amazing.

Beth, this chapter was fun. I know it couldn't have been fun for you all the time, but it was hilarious the way you wrote it.
Loved the part about the alarm going off. Been there with the girlfriend after hours...shame on them, and been there with the angry teen.
I loved the line about not all problems being work related. For some, retirement is that final stage where you get to relax and live the dream. But, sometimes that dream has nightmarish moments.
Take care,
Rhonda

Thank you, Rhonda. I glad you mentioned finding it humorous. I was hoping for that but most people seem to be sympathizing with me. I didn't want sympathy.

I can tell that?s your nature, and why I feel you often take the serious and find humor in it.

I can see where raiding four strong willed kids can bee, wow, they probably turned out fine, but the thing is they would know by having kids of their own how difficult, the trouble with humans is we aquaint freedom with civil disobedience, and we think this so democracy, but rules are made to hold the framework together, well done Beth, blessings Roy

Thank you Roy. It most ways they turned out well. At least they love me an love each other. Don is the only one who had children of his own and he is a good father. I wish they all had children of their own but it wasn't their particular journey.

Oh I can well imagine how this would all have been and the difficulty you started to run into with kids, who were fast growing out of being kids. I so enjoy this, Beth, as you well know. Ulla xcx

Thank you Ulla. The kids were giving us a hard time in some ways but I'm sure I have my parents a hard time too.

In P1, "chain length" should be chain link.
Agree with him about wanting to know without doubt where property lines are. Perhaps that is why all 5 of my acres are fenced in.
Growing pains in children never seem to end, only revolve around different issues as they grow up.

Thank you Brett, I appreciate the review and comments. The problem has been with several properties we've had to have surveyed to buy, the new surveys don't agree with the older surveys and things usually have to worked out among the land owners.

This sounds so familiar, and I remember how stressful those teenage years could be. You had more problems than your share, it seems.
Thanks for another look inside your family.

Wow, the kids found their own devices to escape the parents supervision. I had to admit their ingenuity. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings and the next chapter.

I am enjoying your series, with your family stories written with great honesty. This means that it it reads with authenticity in a way that readers can relate to, with our own less than perfect families. Thanks for sharing.
