Good start to what I am sure will be a really good book. I like the flow and the feeling of being one with your family and new experiences. Saw only one typo - see below. I will look forward to coming chapters ann

Even--- I think this was supposed to be 'Evan': Even was more determined than ever to build a fence.

I enjoy reading about real life and all the antics that go along with children as they age, but it's your witty sense of humor and the laughs you throw in that keep a smile on my face. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you again Ric. I glad you find bits of humor in what I write and you don't mind really about my family.

This is a cool explanation of the work before, as well as an interesting and highly readable story going on. It seems like all things are being handled, including the sleighing.

Another fine chapter in your chronological story of your family's history Beth and how you have moved on in life. A fine journey described and I enjoyed the events here, love Dolly x

This sounds delightful! What a beautiful house and a very interesting setting. Just a couple of little spag issues - "Chattanoota" in the opening paragraph and "ever twenty years" rather than every. The steep driveway sounds like both a challenge and a lot of fun for tobogganing under the right conditions! I've never been able to do that, but it sounds like fun. :)

Thank you so much for the review and the comments. I think I've corrected those things but I'll double check. I've gotten so far behind with over 70 things to review in my in box.

All good! It gets a bit out of control sometimes, doesn't it?

That sounds like an incredible house you moved into. Also, Don's way of meeting Kimberly without parental intervention was amazing. You started out in hillbilly country with a bang, and a snowstorm. This is a well-told story about a family I have come to like after reading about them for the last few years.

Hillbillies, I guess! It's a thousand wonders that they didn't vote you off the island (cul-de-sac).
Very nicely written. Good work.
Indeed, the meeting of the two was a rare coincidence... fate.
Best wishes.

Thank you Wayne. They might have voted us off but it wasn't a democracy. I really appreciate the review and comments.

I use to have a radio program on Sundays on the Brandon radio station. Senator Johnson's son owned it/

Beth, I'm amazed at your memory. You have such a back for remembering all the details. I have to applaud that. I'm sure your family appreciates the time you've taken to put it all together. In the meantime, you've entertained all of us with your stories.

Take care,
Rhonda

Interesting place you moved to. Not hard to imagine from deep south to Chatanooga as having its own culture shock in the neighborhood. It really perked my interest to imagine how another subdivision was in Georgia. Enjoyed it very much.

Thank you so much for a great review as well as six stars. I appreciated the comments. Not only were we right on the Gerogia line where another subdivision backed up but our house was in the county and the house backing up to our lot was in the city. It made a big difference in our taxes not having to pay city taxes.
reply by forestport12 on 05-Jan-2024
That's interesting, because in upstate NY our house is just withing the village, or you could say city, so we get hit with school, county, and city or for us village tax! Any neighbor ever get jealous of the fact you paid less in tax??
reply by the author on 05-Jan-2024
The neighbors didn't complain to us but who knows what they said to each other. You don't notice it so much if you have a mortgage and most people do an don't realize how high their taxes are.

True! Some things should not be told to neighbors, and so let the taxes fall where they may. Amen
