I wonder when it was he became a stone cold drunk. My friend used to wait tables in Marina Del Rey ( Los Angeles area) and Dick would come in and get plastered.
It would be nice to read a tribute that showed all of the many facets of a person including their dark side.

Well that's funny, I thought I did at least show one of his darker facets but always try to retain a balance as do all the biographies I've read which err on the side of caution to avoid being sued for libel. Thanks for your input. Debbie

I don't want to enter into this. I was talking about the biographers and my sources. I find your comments unnecessarily snide. So let's stop here. You certainly don't need to review anything further if you find my work so displeasing.

Hello Debbie,
When I was young I watched the Dick Van Dyke show on TV. I never watched him in any of the movies he played in, they weren't of any interest to me. He was a talented actor though, and I really liked the way you covered all his work. Well done gal.
