I really liked this story that explores the joys and challenges of getting older. There are a few little spag issues in places that you might like to edit out. Kudos to the energetic and amazing older people you mentioned and to all the workers who assist them.

Hi there,
I can't help but allow my mind to drift to the conditions my sister is currently living with. She left her son's house earlier this year, and she moved into a Rehab facility first, and then to an Assisted Living situation. I think that was ill-advised, because she really isn't able to care for herself - so she was sent back to a Rehab, and now she is in search of another bed in a new facility.
She hasn't aged gracefully, and I'm afraid she isn't kind to the caregivers. And then, she doesn't realize why they aren't always the most responsive to her situation.
I think old age is what you make of it - don't you?
I will pray for you as you navigate this new system.

Hello, Mr. Green. :) When you find the answer to those two words, do me a favor and tell me. I recently had one more year added to my life, I'm 73, I ache all over and don't sleep much. I know I can't turn the clock back for some reason it keeps going forward. I'm getting older, I know that, but I'm not giving up yet. :) Good write. Correct these typos (a lick of sence) sense, (untell aare?) until, are. Have a good day and a great New year.

This was a thought-provoking write. I have the same question... What is it that makes us old? At what point do we begin growing old? How do we know? Is it internal or external? I have many thoughts on the matter as well as many questions... I enjoyed reading your reflective write.

Thank you for your kind review. This question probably has many different answers, because it is reflective on the individual's lifestyle and values. We all bring baggage as we get older, Some more than others. Few of us think about this, in our youth.

I love this. I relate because I have been feeling more than a little old lately. One good thing that I do is try to convince others that I'm old. I try to talk and think young. I try to play young with my grandchildren. The truth is though that it is just an act. I want to do nothing. I'm tired. Maybe nobody knows it but me. They probably do though.
Thank you for sharing this.

Thank you for this kind review. There is no stopping time. There are those who have tried by using different methods, but some of them only stop their own clock, but time still ticks on by. When I realized that it was unrealistic for me to set long term goals, and by that, mean 15 or 20 years down the road, It made me think that life flows under the bridge faster and faster with each passing year. So, take a moment to value life, enjoy it, because it is the one thing you will never get it back.
