I got a kick out of the real estate lade trying to arrange a possible marriage between her daughter and Don. It seems you try so hard to keeping the family together at least on holidays.

Thank you for the review. I don't always have them all together but we try. I really appreciate the six stars.

Your family has moved different directions at this point, which, I think is inevitable with large families, or families in general once the kids get to moving about age.

Funny about Christi wanting to go to her grandparents, who were not expecting her. Sounds about right.

Best laid plans of parents do often go astray.

Take care, and best wishes with the book,
Rhonda

But we know that Don and Kimberly got married and you have a lovely granddaughter because of that union. So I guess all it was that was off was the timing. But considering how pushy Jane was, it does raise up some red flags about the family as in-laws!

Fate has it's own agenda. (its)
fate works things out with it's own timing. (its)

You know that because you read the first story. The majority of my fans are new or have poor memories. LOL There are some serious red flags but for my grandchildens sake, I probably shouldn't mention them all. Some very bad stuff had happened to Jane in the last few years.

Very interesting.
Parents plans for their grown children usually don't work out as planned/hoped. (in my experience) - Carol and Glen moving to Florida. Don and Kimberly foiling plans.
Too bad about Christi's disappointment.
Best wishes.

We had an old saying, Let go and let God have His way. Which meas the same as you put it. I think that God has certain people to marry but like you said. We parents sometimes think otherwise.

Hmmm. Both Don and the agents daughter told the parents they were invited to an engagement party, which do happens to be when you all were to get together. Interesting.

I'll wait to see if anything pans out.

Good, well written chapter, Beth,

Cheers,
John

You already know I enjoy these trips down memory lane. It's amazing how our children tend to have their own agenda and often different than ours. LOL My boys sure did.

Thank you Barbara. I guess we assume when they are born they will think like we do, but all too soon, they have a whole new direction they want to go.

I enjoyed your biographical chapter about having to find temporary accommodation and about the estate agent trying to act as a matchmaker between your son and her daughter. I look forward to the next chapter.

Thank you Wendyanne. I so glad you like this. I need to get busy writing but I'm so far behind in reviewing. I've still got nearly fifty to check and review if they are still active.

If my memory serves me right, Don had a girlfriend called Kimberley, and perhaps even married her, oh yes, indeed, fate, or some other hand might have had some ideas of His own, this is beautifully written Beth great post, blessings Roy

It seems like I've spent most of my life with my plans revolving around kids wants, and I enjoyed most every minute. But now, for me, the kids all grown and with their own lives that don't include me, I can do what I want. Although, there isn't really anything I care to do. LOL. Thanks for sharing another fine chapter.

Thank you, Ric. I'm relieved that my children have their own homes now but I do see them all sometimes during every week.

That's awesome that you still get to see your children weekly. Mine are all spread out in different cities, but luckily healthy and happy, which is what matters most to me. :-)
