Cute and enjoyable. Felt like I was experiencing the joys of Christmas that we seemed to have lost in generations thereafter. It's enhanced by the country touch. I can see the snow, feel the cold, the fear of being bitten by the horses. Simple and spellbinding.

Thank you, Lisa. You got from the story everything I was hoping every reader would. As to the "country touch..." this is a first-person, non-fiction entry in the Christmas Story contest. That really was my kid brother and me feeding the chickens and cleaning the horses' stall.

Old timers just got rid of stuff. I had some photos and a gift one of my teachers had given me, her own letter sorter which was wire and shaped like a cat but I'm 57, and over it for God's sake. ;) lol
Your Christmas Story was such a pleasure to read. It was very well written, with colorful details and imagery. The dialogues and interactions you explained were authentic. I smile, chuckled and just also enjoyed reading. I was a younger sister of two brothers and I had two older sister's too so I could relate to the cramped car rides
Thank you for sharing this wonderful story! I hope you will always have these memories with you for many many more Christmases!
Best wishes,
Alexandra

Thank you, Alexandra... you were my target audience. I am 81 years old, and I have a LOT of memories. I've been sharing them for years. You can buy them on Amazon's Audible platform (I think).

This was a really well told piece and I enjoyed getting an insight into your early life and the memory of one Christmas on the farm. I thought it was well written I was kept engaged. Good luck in the contest.
