I've spoken and written about it. My wife made sure we got all the precautions and still covid killed her and I got it, also, but lived. I hate covid! It was great to see its name on the tombtone.

First, your delightful poem -- I am wearing a big smile. Those are good word choices to rhyme with "run". Good luck in the contest.

However, I feel obligated to address your notes... You sound like you are of sound judgment, so please don't misunderstand. It's simply that I was (and still am) quite knowledgeable about infectious diseases and others will be reading your reviews.

Any vaccination for anything is never 100% protection -- for us, or even for our pets. But getting the COVID vaccination greatly reduces the odds of becoming seriously ill, if exposed -- to someone with a compromised immune system, that is valuable information.

So is this -- once on a ventilator, the chances of ever coming off it are slim, and if you are lucky enough to get off a ventilator, there are usually months (or longer) of rehabilitation. And let's not even discuss the long-term effects of COVID.

Was there misinformation circulating during this pandemic, especially in the beginning? Most certainly (and emphatically) yes! But remember, this was a previously unknown virus, and people (even scientists and doctors) are fallible -- they make mistakes. In the beginning, at least here in Canada, the public was told that wearing a mask would give the wearer a "false sense of security" -- the virus was not yet known to be airborne (but I said it surely WAS, and even if it WAS NOT, we should err on the side of caution precisely BECAUSE we knew little about it).

Despite any 'deceptive' information, make no mistake, please -- COVID is deadly -- ask any long-hauler (and I know more than one).

Also, (personally) I am quite severely immune-compromised but I have never been "afraid", simply sensibly cautious AND considerate of my community and others who might contract it from me without me even presenting with any symptoms.

Thank you for your review. I don't agree with your opinions and think there is solid evidence that the vaccine didn't work and harmed many. Many doctors have died after the jab and some young athletes as well. Airborne viruses can't be eradicated by a vaccine due to their changeable nature. I had covid and was in the hospital for 2 days I would never go on a respirator Fresh air and vitamins are a better route. You are entitled to your opinion. Take care of youself.

This is a good poem but I think that 'deception' and 'satisfaction' are more near rhymes or slant rhymes with run rather than pure rhymes. I presume that this is Ok with the contest organisers but I would check just to be on the safe side.
Good luck with it

This is a very good form that you have written for the contest, and I wish you the very best in the contest. I just recently got over Covid and it was not too bad. It just was like I had a very bad cold. I wish you the very best with all of your writing. Patricia.

I will die if I get covid because I have MS and give myself shots that present MS attacks which lower my immunity so the vaccines will not work for me plus I have Asthma so my doctors say that I would suffer the worst consequences should I get covid. Unless doctors have told you that, what even bring up the topic. I'm not afraid because I just don't let myself get it. My husband has worked for home since 2020 just to keep me alive and we stay home. It sucks to stay home but it sucks more to hear other people who aren't in such danger, discussing it. Not everyone knows how it feels for MS to suddenly attack and blind or cripple either. I've combatted so much since I was 26 for decades. I don't make light of what others go through. if making fun of people trying to keep alive is interesting to you, Im glad you have that kind of time on your hands. God bless you!

There was a lot of mystery surrounding Covid that confused people, conspiracy theories that worried many people. I was first in the queue for the vaccine and I was never afraid of having it. I even wear a mask when I have a cold so that I don't spread my germs, a wise post, love Dolly x x x

Wow, covid came and went didn't it? I regret to say that I got the vaccine against my better judgement. I actually feel guilt about that. Now a days, nobody cares whether you got it or not! Crazy.
