This is a cute idea for a children's poem and the rhyming works well. However, as the poetry prompt explains children like poems with a steady metre and unfortunately yours has not achieved that. It varies from five to eight beats per line. This contest did not require a poem with a steady rhythm but your poem would have been so much better if you had achieved that. Nevertheless this is a cute poem so good luck in the contest

This is an excellent poem for the challenge and your presentation is very good, too. You also use evocative words to express the sweetness of bringing a two year old grandson around. Your use colorful imagery will draw in a readers also.

poem very much. The author's words got me into the beauty of the fall
