I find writing prose much more problematic than writing poetry to be honest. I enjoyed the rhyme and rhythm of this well written piece, Good luck in the contest!

This is great and a very enjoyable read! Your 10 line verse with 5 rhyming couplets has lovely metered lines and an excellent ending enhancing the humorous element of your poem. I think it's a very good contender and I wish you luck! Debbie

It's a valid point! Fourth line, however, should begin 'Its', not 'It's'. Otherwise this is fun and entertaining and you handle the rhyme effectively. Well done and good luck in the competition.

It's funny, I gravitated to rhythmic rhyming poetry quite quickly, but I can write free verse with all its incumbent device, but I'm not as comfortable as I am with R&R, beautifully written my friend, I thought you did a good job with this, well done, good luck, blessings Roy
