What fine free verse, Heather! I thought I'd found all of Debi's many birthday poems...but it seems I missed a few. I love the youthful spirit and gentle heart you've captured here. Debi writes such loving birthday poems for so many of us; you've honored her special day in your unique and captivating style!

Heather, this is a wonderful poem for Debi, I think she spent more time posting on FanStory while she was in the hospital than she did talking to doctors. I think you describe her just right. Well done. Terry.

If I can stop crying every time I read this, maybe this time I can finish a review.
This is one of the most beautiful free verses I have ever read and as much as I wish it were completely true, I will say I try to be those things. The young and Innocent is hard to accomplish, but I believe again in the next life that is the way it will be.

I also cry like a baby on every version of Hallelujah! And the little girl looks a lot like my childhood pictures.

Oh my dear Heather, you are so incredibly selfless yourself, as well as sweet and kind. I appreciate this more than you could possibly know. Now I know what others mean when they are so moved, as I most certainly am, my wonderfully dear friend.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. With so much love and appreciation!! Debi

Those little ones make life much more loving. Their hearts are simple and unspoiled and it just flows. What a wonderfully written poem. Best of luck with your writing!

Have a great day, and God bless.

This was so beautiful, Heather. I loved the younger child that Debi was and the video was spot on. Your words were wonderful. Very well done and greatly enjoyed, both the poem and your narrative notes. Blessings n Hugs!!!

This free verse, Debi, seems to picture Debi in this illuminated innocence which makes her words and actions all the more poignant and powerful..........

This is a lovely free verse for Debi, Heather. You are right, she is selfless, she's always writing suck lovely poems for friends on fan story. I didn't realise that was when she was in hospital. The creating probably helps her to cope. Nicely done Heather.
cheers,
valda

She sure has grasped selflessness, and yet she will deny it. The wonderful example Jesus gave us was a complete portrayal of selflessness, and actually shares His inheritance with, giving us equality, and died to make sure, we will always fall short of that, Paul grasped it, beautifully written Maria, blessings Roy

I must thank you from the bottom of my heart for introducing me to Tommy Johansson. He sings a lot of my favorite songs. I love Josh Grobain, but he is better. On sound of silence he is good, but "Disturbed"
does the best ever. Tom ball is very good too. And look at "Pentatioux" an acapella group, they are very good. Bon Jovi does a good "Hallelujah" too. Great poem. Karen
