This is an excellent story. I enjoyed reading it. Many readers will relate to this.Your presentation is very good, too. You also use descriptive words that draw in a reader. Best wishes!

Thank you so much, Alexandra.

This one-hundred-fifty-word flash fiction story, Gone with the Wind, seems to be comparing the two cosmic items in our solar system both close and far, with that relationship that never seems to arrive.

This was a great piece of flash fiction, but a sad commentary on love lost, if it really was love. your words are a Treasure, and you are a treasure, and I hope you will be, or are, blessed with a True Love!

Imaginative Flash Fiction! Two people--never destined to become one in this lifetime. It is a story as old as time itself, I think. It's thought-provoking how we sometimes "settle" for what is before us when we know our heart is truly not in it!

Iza, this is a nicely constructed flash fiction. I wish you well in the contest. I wasn't sure where you were headed. The moon and the sun were well done. The last paragraph provided a thoughtful message. Excellent. Terry.

This is actually a very romantic post, capturing that feeling of the imperfections of love and life. It speaks to the fact that people today are so infactuated with looks, spellbound by the eyes, almost hypnotized, but miss the real point of love. Which is to start a family and have children. The search seems never ending today...estory

Good morning Iza, from already getting early morning here in Spain,
There is something about this poem that pulled me in and made me want to read it several times.
It seemed that all was great but then the ending was rather sad.
I love your choice of the image and the font and size of the font made your poem nice and easy to read.
Loved it,
Lisa

There's a good solid plot being established here: "Then, love, at first sight, struck him." Many of us could identify with the obsession of one of our crushes: "he searched for her under every leaf and rock, but she was long gone." This is a strong cautionary tale. Well done.

There is a whole lot of truth in this story. People spend a lifetime searching for that one special love, while most end up settling: for money, comfort, or kindness. But it never fulfills the emptiness or desires. Thanks for sharing.

Was it infatuation or longing for a soulmate? I've often asked that question when confronted with a scene like this. I can understand both outcomes. The way you described the encounter is passionate in a way most people would fantasize about a relationship, but like your characters, they too are left unfulfilled.
