Your first lines in this constanza poem make a beautiful stand alone poem, JLR. Seeking beauty and peace in nature is indeed a wonderful thing to do. A lovely read.

Nice job with this different form. You have conveyed a quiet tranquil mood with this poem. This should be a good club entry. I may try this form.

Your club poem was well done, JLR.
O enjoyed reading it. Great job with
the requirements of the style. I liked
the rhymes and the way you developed
your message. The image was a great
addition, too. I liked the line with nature's
band. I could picture everything as I read.
Thanks for participating, Jan

This was beautiful. Thank you for introducing me to a Constanza form that I never tried but should try.
You described your perfect oasis of tranquility well. Loved the imagery, visuals, the font and presentation.
Your words take a reader far away, to that perfect heaven, to inhale the magic.

Your words so beautifully evoke this place of tranquility that you share with us in your poem. As we read, we see the beauty and hear nature's music and we are also at peace. Thank you for sharing this with us.

This poem is beatifically written. You can seek tranquility by two waterfalls. I'm in my place on Lake Superior and there are many waterfalls here. They are noisy and it's hard to describe the kind of music they belong.
Well done.

Jasmine, thank you. I know those huge falls around Lake Superior, the crescendo of which reverberates like wheels on boxcars.

I'm so glad you have a special place to go and enjoy the peace that nature gives you. Glad you make this a daily practice "embracing the present moment." Great job with your Constanza poem!

A lovely and well written Constanza.
If I may mention one place that stopped me when I was reading this out loud (twice), is the word, tweak," in the first line of the last verse. Tweak is a good word, but are you saying, ..."everyday I often tweak embracing the present moment..."?
What about, "Sitting thus, I hear God speak"? or "Tis here the sounds of nature speak." OR "Resting here, these thoughts, I tweak,' embracing the present moment.
I do apologize if I am out of line. I hope I haven't been an irritant.
Your poem is thoughtful and peaceful with a lovely accompanying picture.
Respectfully,
Katharine

Katherine, wow! Thank you so much. Your observation is spot on and I am very grateful for your sharing your wisdom. " Sitting thus, by nature's bouquet" does improve and carry the thoughts forward.

Ah, this is so lovely in the constanza form, J! My native Georgia has Tallulah Falls and Anna Ruby Falls. One of my brothers took my sister and I hiking over Anna Ruby. We spent the night there listing to the waterfall's sound. Sending you my best today as always.

Sally, I have hiked Tallulah falls on many an occasion. Anna Ruby will be put in my bucket list. Have super Flag Day!

A nice take on the classic, pastoral romantic tradition. You had the peaceful rhythm of the meter, the rhymes that provided the softening music, and the images of the oasis of nature. But what I also noticed in here were those nagging images of what's bothering you. So it also speaks to the persistence of our anxiety, and how hard it is to really turn the page on them, even in these pastoral places and moments. estory
