Cass, This is a very cute and very well written poem about Sunday at the park. You used great descriptive words that went so well with the picture you chose. I enjoyed reading and reviewing this. love and blessings, Teri

I see nothing wrong with this write. I could see this happening. I had a dog for fifteen years who I still miss this day. I know the feeling of having a dog like you mentioned. Thanks, Cass for a great write.

As I read the first stanza, I was thinking to myself "I hope this is a story about a dog"!

To my delight it was, and a very enjoyable one at that. It moves along at a good pace, and the rhymes are well done.

I hope the group enjoyed your effort as much as I did.

Well done,
Craig

dear Craig, Thank you for your review and the five stars. This "dog story" is one I worked on over several days to finish. It was worth the trouble as all my reviews show. I'm glad you like it. cheers Cass

Hello Cass (again?) We both live a long way from the USA, but our love of animals is universal (cats are mostly in my stories and poems, but I have an outrageous welsh collie called Bouncer in my stories too). Great idea to let the dog do the talking - it works really well -and it is a great feel-good story for everyone yo enjoy. The aabb quatrain is a perfect vehicle for light story telling, and your scansion and rhyme is perfect. Well done. Incidentally, that picture is a parody of a French impressionist painting by George Seurat. If you knew that you can have another star. Next time.
Best wishes, Paul

This poem, Sunday, narrated by Ted's dog, seems to capture a great day out for Rover which this posed re-shooting of some famous painting gives the readers some idea about. Nice.

dear bill, Thank you for your review and the five stars I don't know the dog's name, but he looks like a slightly smaller german shepherd. He, and the cat were living in a tiny unit with a loud voiced drunk who was glad to accept $20.00 for them both. They now live in a small house with a large garden and are very happy. Good on Ted, cheers Cass

This is a sweet natured write and I loved this story from the point of view of the dog and your rhyming is spot on al thought the metre is a bit bumpy in places it did not spoil the story and I was entertained here, a fine poem for the club, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

dear dolly. Thank you for your review and the five stars. Yes this poem was written by the dog, The first thing I "saw" was Ted fast asleep with the cat curled close next to him and a dog wagging its tail
    and licking its chops.in anticipation.
I let the dog speak through me.cheers Cass

This was such a delightful poem to read - such a fun point of view and the rhyming was perfect. You should do something with the presentation though - there's tons of space before and after your poem, and your image actually covers your profile on the right side. I've never seen anything quite like it, so I'm not sure how to tell you to fix it.

Thanks for the great write, but I would work on the presentation because it will make it hard for some to read.

Good luck,
Pam

dear Pam. thank you for your review and the five stars, Yes the extra spaces don't help at all,but I don't know how to fix the problem. I have been provided with instructions, but I still can't grasp it,
    cheers Cass

I loved every word of this very fun poem... All from a dogs point of view...so perfect and the park image works very well... I do think a photo of your dog would be even better.
It would engage the reader immediately... I been seeing the image you chose with many poems...

dear lisa. Thank you for your review and the five stars; I don't have a dog, but I was Mummy pussycat to around twenty cats throughout fifty five years of marriage. The dog that inspired the poem was a picture in my mind/ So was the cat/ But never mind they brought forth words and images that are entertaining and pleasant. cheers Cass

My dog was ahead of me five times a day. He would wake me a 6:30, sit beside me at 10:30, showed up after the Bold and Beautiful aired, again at 5 and 8 pm for his constitutional. I wnet along.

ldear Tom Thank you for your review and the five stars. Your dog sounds like he was Mr. Perpetual Motion. Always on the go. I imagine him with "caterpillar eyebrows." nose busy, eyes going to the door and back to you recumbent in a chair watching TV.As soon as it was over he'd be pestering you for a walk, a stroll, an amble. Never mind if we've been there seven times already today.Let's
go. I reckon you;d have been pretty fit. cheers Cass

Aww. Sweet. Lovely rhyme that is natural and unforced. The rhythm is clear and suits the mind of the dog. You successfully convey the voice and the excitement. Good luck in the contest.

dear friend Thank you for your review and the five stars. I put the verse in about all his mischievous mates so it wouldn't seem. too soppy. But it is a happy poem. I'm glad you like it cheers Cass
