This well-crafted poem has some promise. A husband and father slowly separates himself from his family. There are hints of complexity and of anguish, but I never hear this being portrayed in the words. In the end, I don't connect with him or with any of the other characters.

Thanks Aaaron: Didn't understand portraying in the words comment. It's only an expression of conflicting thoughts about how to manage the emotional storm caused by events like an exclusion from a family event.

This is a great poem made even better by referencing my favourite book, Siddhartha. A well spun tale, beautifully presented with clarity. It expresses a range of emotions. A great poem.
