Hello Aussie, I'm so sorry to
hear about this happening in
your country. It's such a rotten
shame. Crime has increased
all over the U.S. Here in the
Asheville, NC area there are
a lot of young hooligans up
to no good. Another very sad
crime that keeps happening
in various areas of the U.S.
is people's equines getting
shot dead. In this area and
surrounding towns there was
a miniature horse, a mare,
and several other horses shot
dead. When I was young and
actually going into my late
50's, (I'm 65), this wasn't
happening anywhere. But the
past few years, it's been
regularly in either the local or
national news. Just horrible!
Why people do terrible things
like this, to a poor animal.
We used to give out Christian
candy on Halloween at our
front door. One Halloween
about 7 years ago, a youth
that looked about 15 years
old just said very calm to
me, "You should of worn a
mask " Then stood there with
his friends expecting an angry
reaction from me. I stayed
calm and shut the door.
Last year another young man
without even a costume on,
took one step up at our
front door, to look at what we
had in our living room. He
went on his way right after
that. He was casing our
house. We have an alarm
system. We all decided not
to participate in giving out
candy to strangers anymore.
I'm getting long winded.
I think many youth are the
way they are because their
parents are apathetic.

Hello Regina, No, not long-winded; helps to talk about these happenings. The good and safe days have gone. So much violence and the targets of the young are those who can't defend themselves either. I'm afraid having access to guns is a bad thing. We don't have that here; licensed shooters are for game or target shooting. America has a huge problem and the innocents are the ones being sacrificed. I think this must make god very sad. Shooting horses makes me sick. The youth here have taken to stealing cats. I can just imagine what they are doing with them. I believe we are in the last days. All this was predicted in the Bible. The 4 horsemen have already visited. We can only cling to our faith and lock up our homes. Bless you, sweetie-pie. Kay xx

You probably see from the news that similar stuff is happening here in the US. Here on Cape Cod, many people are moving here but like your home, cannot afford the rents or mortgages. Crime is up. I hope you and your dog remain safe and sorry to read about the women who were killed.

Thanks Elaine. It is happening across the world and America is hard hit. We are in big trouble because the so-called government wants to let 40,000 migrants in! We can't house our own people. I am fortunate, have been in Public Housing for 13 yrs - we have just got a pension rise and I bet they will take most of it for rent. The price of food has gone through the roof. Never in my lifetime have I seen our country going down the toilet. K xx

Well said Kay. There is a lack of discipline in our society and it has been getting worse. Kids know when they start school the teachers have no right of discipline, and no I don't mean using the cane. I despair at where this is all leading. Well done,

is telling the schools to put fifty trash books in the schools...trying to teach the kids...they aren't born girls
and boys...bringing drag queens in the schools to dance for the kids...with as many nude parts as they can show...as young as 2nd and 3rd grade...yea the kids are out of control...their lost...confused about life...and God...

There is some of that going on here, but our influx is mostly childless although from the New York City area. They come to buy the fabulous old houses we have (and can't afford to fix) and find acceptance by most for their LGBTQ thinking. We do, however, have a lot more homeless and are warned to never walk at night alone. We also have guns, although nothing has happened from that quarter.

Thanks for reading Carol. We do not have guns here. America is in meltdown. My faith keeps me whole. I feel for you living in a worse situation over there. Mind you, all of this was foretold in the Book of Revelation. Across the World, Mother Nature is rebelling. Man has done so much harm to her. Hello James, I know Iluka. I used to live in Brooklyn of the Hawkesbury River. The Premier does nothing but talk. She is happy to spend money on new stadiums because she is a footie fanatic. We have been given more police but the root of the problem is the parents! No such thing as respect amongst the young and the buck stops with their upbringing. In my youth (many moons ago) we had to ask to leave the dinner table! Great to meet you and thanks for reading. I had to write it. K xx

Beth, Thank you for reading. No mass shooting because Australia has no guns except for hunting and licensing is very strict. America isn't going to give up their guns anytime soon. Handguns are banned here. Our police are under investigation for shooting a man dead after he came at them with knives. Why didn't they Taser him? Anyway, the children are out of control thanks to the parents who don't care (not all) lock up or lose it! K xx

Sadly, the scenario you outline is repeating up and down the east coast of Australia and probably elsewhere too.
I hope some kind of sanity and reprieve evolves quickly.
My quiet, scenic hometown and valley is now also being over-run by city dwellers who feel entitled and have little respect for the rural landowners
who were born and raised here.
Just like your area we have so many severe issues and it's such a shame.

Hello Shirley, The influx of southerners had done a lot of damage. No housing, no rentals and elderly folks living in tents! The Govt needs to peg rental prices. I blame the Govt for letting them in in the first place! Blessings, Kay.

Thanks for reading Dolly. When the people moved up from down south, they brought their spoilt children with them. Now we have to wear it. There are no rentals and homes are snapped up by the wealthy. I can't believe an elderly person, living in a rental for years can be turfed out on the street. Love, Kay xx
