okay dear
I liked it simply because we both have slipped into that black spot and well frankly I find that happy is not just what I want to write. happy aint the cup of tea right now. your depth of emotions just pull at me and I do mean pull until I am on an emotional jog with you. we poets just have the soul of pain and memories deep in us and we have to let it free. we also have that side that just is plain silly. I like your style and when you go dark I feel the dark.

Excellent presentation!

'yet never learning how not to feel
all her emotions are too very real
they run so deep
sometimes she can't even sleep'

This speaks volumes my Friend---excellent!

Pizza and Fairy Tales by shelley kaye
Yes do we not all want to be young again?
When life was sweet, and before we found out about life,
and how sad it can be.
Good poem.

Hey Shelley,
This is very interesting :) I think you met the challenge and in such a creative way!
I liked how it went from happy and light to dark and back to light again. Very well-written and an excellent display of your talent. Loved the title!!
Have a good day,

BRAT.....LOL...LOL....I am at a loss for words, a difficult accomplishment I assure you!!! The phrase pizza and fairy tales actually comes from a comment made to Paul McCartney by John Lennon (are you listening Beatlegirl61) You have made my day. Thank you for posting this fine piece of work.

"Pizza and Fairytales." How can anyone not read and review a poem with such a fantastic title? This is a truly excellent poetic piece of writing Shelley. Superb.

With scars upon her little heart
is no way for this girl to start
her day in frozen artic land.
But, here she is with trembling hand

We see she's shy and wonder why;
she holds the answer to our eye.
With trust and rust and little curls
the choice is narrowed 'mongst the girls.

Order pizza and fairy tales;
stay clear of those puppy dog tails.
