Your limerick is too cute! Imagine! Old Santa would be in a panic -- who could ever replace Rudolph, after all! I bet all the other reindeer were delighted to see Rudolph out of the running though... (*grin*)

Thanks for the review, Dawn. It looks like you are a night owl like me.

HAHAHAHAH!!! So, when Rudolph gets a cold, his red nose doesn't become even redder?

What a very cute limerick this is! I like the concept as well as how PERFECTLY your limerick rhythm pattern is! Good luck in the contest. I hope you can boogie down to the winner's circle!!!

Thanks, Rachelle. The contest didn't go very well. Better luck next time.

You made me laugh, every word seemed to flow, great rhythm. Lounging on the beach during winter away from the cold, I think, is ideal. Together they get a thumbs up from me. Good luck in the contest.

Thanks, Jaded. The contest was a bust. I'll try again.

Heh! I like this limerick! It follows the rhythm of 3-3-2-2-3 beats per line and the a-a-b-b-a rhyme scheme. Plus it's humorous to imagine Santa in a bind without Rudolph in the lead!

Thanks, Aiona. I guess Santa made it okay. At least he got to our house.

You'd think that a cold might make his nose even more red. LOL. I like your limerick. It's fun and festive. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Thanks, Jessi. Maybe we'll give him some cold medicine and send him out.

The thought that Santa is taking a Christmas holiday and break in one of those fantastic tropical islands, whe really he shouldn't be goofing of from his shrudymas duties, beautifully written Paul, good luck, blessings Roy

Thanks, Roy. Hopefully, after a couple of days in bed, Rudolph will be ready.

I got a nice chuckle out of this one Paul. From the photo, Santa doesn't care much about Rudolf's cold. Great Limerick! Much success with the contest. Happy Holidays! Best, JohnC

Thanks, John. The palm trees are a little out of place, but it was the best I could do.

A perfect limerick with just the right rhyme and meter. I'm not quite sure the picture matches the words, but the words are amusing and well-chosen. Good luck in the contest.

Your limerick did not disappoint. It was perfect in rhythm and perfect for this season. I could see Santa's dilemma. Fly without Rudolph or pull a Covid and put it on hold. Good luck in the contest. Thank you for posting. Gretchen

Ahhh, that was so cute. I love this poem and hope you have grandkids to read it to. It sounds like just the poem you'd read in a children's book. Best wishes in the contest.

Thanks, amahra. Limericks use to be my specialty, but I got carried away, and had to give them up.
