Bill, it's lovely to be back and to read again your delightful work. This is simple, but SO engaging, such gentle humour, such a welcome taste of kindness and good nature in this currently very ugly world. Thank you for brightening my morning, and congratulations on that splendid 300!

Thanks for reading and your kind words! I've written in almost every genre. Most frequently, I write fiction. I am a published author, my book is Rabbit A Southern Summer. Check it out on Amazon. My time on Fanstory contributed to my efforts. Bill

I enjoyed reading your story and I agree, walk a dog and you will meet a lot of every interesting people. It reminds of a story. Sorry but I need to share. Our youngest son came a long many years after our first three boys. The oldest, Greg was 16 when Steven was born. Greg was embarrassed having a pregnant mom. LOL Anyway, we at one of the boys football games and Steven got fussy. He was maybe 6 months old. Greg decided to walk around with him. Greg quickly discovered that the girls flocked around him as he held Steven. I eventually had to inform Greg that he couldn't use his brother as a girl catcher. LOL

A chick magnet for sure. I'm 18 years older than my youngest brother. What you say is true!

Hahahaha. You were lucky the lady took it the way it was intended. I've heard the easiest way to meet people is to walk a dog. It sounds like you and Sam enjoy your daily walks very much.

A very delightful and funny post. I guess there are many benefits to having a dog over and above having a faithful companion! Sam appears to be a lady's man. Well done and congrats on the milestone post.

It seems that Sam enjoys looking at young ladies too - how handy for you to have an excuse to engage them in conversation. Your son definitely needs to borrow Sam.
Your engaging story was fun, well-written, and a pleasure to read.

Wow, three hundred posts. That's a lot of typing. I love this one about your dog. If that is his picture he is a real cutie. Dogs do help you meet people. I take my old dog to tractor supply with me and folks always want to pet her and ask me about her.

I wasn't going to write this, but sitting down, Sam came over and licked my hand. What could I do?
