Ulla,
the youth of today did not grow up under the constant fear of nuclear war.
I remember fearing Soviets because they had a large cache of nuclear weapons like us.

Your dark satire is very effective; , you handle irony so well. its message very is clear and urgent: we must stop this despot before he despoils Europe and the rest of the world.
Exceptional work, Ulla.
Afa,
Cindy

Thank you so much, Cindy. So right you are. The youth of today didn't grow up with the threat we did. I'm so glad you saw the satire in this. Not many did. Thanks so much, again. Ulla:)))

This story, It All Remains to be Seen, seems to be admonishing the leader of Russia as he begins what appears to be a war with the rest of Europe.

Thank you so much, Bill. I so appreciate it. If that was to happen, we would face the third world war. Remember Europe is part of Nato. So, let's not go there. Ulla:)))

Well, your story is certainly timely, isn't it. The mustache you spoke of... a reference to Hitler? But you call it a "narrow mustache". It would hardly be what I consider as narrow. It's more of a paint-brush mustache.

All he cares about is their submission and for them to be part of his russian family. [Russian should be capitalized.]

What is scary about the red button is the potential reality of it. If he is pushed enough into the corner, with many of his own people against him, what would he have to lose ... his final hurrah!

Thank you so very much, Jay. I have also made the correction. Thanks a lot for pointing it out.
Yeah, and now he's put those weapons on high alert. How on earth did we suddenly get to this? The man is mad!!!

This is an interesting story that you've composed. I'm not sure I understand what you're saying about the man in the white house at the moment. Personally, I think he has a lot to do with Russia feeling emboldened to attack Ukraine. You've written your story well. It kept my attention to the end.
Have a blessed day.

Very well written piece. I love the allusion to Hitler. The scenes unfolding on T.V are heartbreaking especially those including children. Well done
With regards and best wishes
