This poem, 147 South Street, though not shaped as such, reads as a Shakespearean sonnet would, in that the home's downsides are pointed out, while the conclusion allows that no place could be better. Nice.

your house sounds comfortable to live in. I like the descriptions you gave, and old houses always need a fixer upper every once in a while. We live in an old house and have an old bathtub.

We also live in a house that was built in the thirties. It has many squeaks and rumbles going to the kitchen. What a wonderfully written poem.

This brought beautiful imagery to an older home. I saw every nook and cranny of your home. What wasn't told was imagined. I even smelled the musty cellar and heard the traps snap, Ugh! It took me to your home. It's okay I felt I had to get out of the house anyway, lol. Best wishes with the contest.

I liked this a lot! It was fun to read and several clever moments. Your words painted an excellent picture of your home, where it was, and what condition it was in. Very cute to have a name for a critter found in the house and well incorporated into the house's story.
