A very nice tribute to your Mother for Mother's Day. You practically told the story of your mother's life.
You let her know that her children always knew what she gave up to be your mom and that she did a very fine job at being one. I would think your mom will enjoy your poem. God bless!

I think this is a great poem for your mother. You capture well her life and the impact she had on her family. Excellent poetic form and a smooth flow of verses. I read your poem the usual way, top down and then from the bottom up. It reads so well both ways. Happy Mother's Day to your mother.

Dear kapot, in your authors notes you ask us for suggestions to make this poem better. So I have listed mine below.
In your second stanza in the last line you use 'sacrifice' in the singular. I'm sure she made more than one, on your behalf; so I would make that word plural.

Beautiful happy mother's day poem. A great tribute to your mother and so well written. I can relate. I was 17 when I had my first child. I wanted to be an artist but my dreams were put on hold to take care of my baby. After a few years I went to collage to learn a trade to care of her and me. My husband and I separated because he was a lazy deceitful ass. Sorry...I got carried away.
