This is lovely but sad. My mom died in 2001, but it seems like yesterday. Many things remind me of her. lilacs, her love of second hand stores, music she loved. I can relate to how you feel. Thanks for sharing.

Isn't it interesting that when someone we love has passed away that we find so many things that bring back their memory? The lake also brings back memories of my mother as well. We spent our summer vacations at the lake every year. My own little family has continued going to the same place every year. As soon as we pull into the drive where we stay, the first thing that comes to mind is my mom.

It's a feeling they never goes away. I treasure those memories, most of all my mother's laugh. And her face when she laughed. This poem brought me a memory of her face full of joy. Thanks for sharing

You did a great job with your club challenge poem. I enjoyed reading it, although it is poignant. Your image is perfect for your heartfelt words. Great job with the syllable count per line. You give readers a glimpse of the bond you had with your mother. My mother has been gone almost 22 years, so I know and feel your emotion packed words.
