I remember a time when, if one was out, the only way anyone could contact you was a pager or to phone the place you were at. The good old days. This is a funny but sad poem. Thank you for sharing.

The poet told a daily event occurrence of how we have been so attached to mobile phones. Opening our eyes to where all our time is flashing away via text messages, phone calls, Face book etc. No wonder we have less time to master anything, beside all we need is Google it. Enjoyed the content and can relate to events described. Excellent

A very well-written poem. As hard as it is to admit, we are totally addicted to our electronic devices. We only realize it when it is out of order or not available for one or other reason.

I am not addicted to my phone but i do have a computer addiction. I see people all the time walking around with the phone to their ears and then almost bump into people. Patricia

Undoubtedly our cellphones are no more an accessory but has become a basic necessity in the current times. That is even while we are not using it, we can't think about losing it! You have very interestingly put up the anxiety over the dead phone in your poem. Enjoyed reading.

LOL, This is a fantastic poem, my friend. I love it. It was so very smooth upbeat with a fast movement with fun and cute lines. I can't even pick a favorite line, I love them all. the girl in the store was funny though. ~Kerry

lol. Yes, we may not be like the young folks but we are still addicted. I forgot my at work the other day and headed out of town to an appointment. It drove me crazy.

The poem has a catchy rhythm to it. I can almost hear it as a ringtone. It captures the essence of what people go through when something like that happens to their phone. Some are worse than others. I left my phone in a lyft car once, but I didn't panic, and finally got it back, but nonetheless, it is was frightening. Bravo to you.

Your poem suggested this was a spoof.
But your notes put that up for debate.
I won't take sides in the debate over phone usage.
But I'm not fond of using all caps and bold type to
indicate expression. Well chosen words should suffice.
One man's opinion. Peace, Lee

My smart phone forgot how to operate itself in March. No joke, my smart phone become the dumbest phone ever. Because of the issue and it being under warranty I had to send the dang thing in. Two weeks without a phone. It was the longest two weeks of my life. I realized that even if I don't always use my phone it gives me a voice. I'm never alone even when I am alone. It gives me a sense of security. They gave me a new operating system but its the same phone and could potentially do the same thing that last one did in March. Hopefully, it'll last til get another one. I'm glad you have a phone. I loved reading this because I feel validated in how I felt when I was phoneless for two weeks. lol

Oh dear. I can't imagine being without my smartphone for two weeks. If I leave mine at home, I go back and get it. I don't know how this happened that we are so attached to these devices.
Thank you for your wonderful review and those precious six stars.
