St Nicholas, lost in the theme of Christmas shopping and madness...
The tradition of gift giving to a child, is to represent gifts to baby Jesus...Yes, it's way out of hand.

Thank you, Julie for your really lovely review! We really need to focus on the true meaning of Christmas, without taking the magic away. I am sure it could be done, children do love these stories, and knowing them to be true, they would enjoy Christmas even more. (I would hope) thank you again! xsx

A very good poem for children and just in time for Christmas. A good lesson within this write, a picture to match and excellent rhyme and flow. It's important to tell them Christmas is Jesus Birthday but the gifts are to celebrate the gifts Baby Jesus got from the Three Kings .There is a legend which tells of a man in Germany , I think [a long, long time ago]who was like Santa Claus giving gifts to children.

Thank you for this lovely review, amarherig, I am so pleased you enjoyed it. There was a legend as you say, about a man in Germany, but the story goes back even further, to 300 years before Christ. He was born Nickolas, and later became, St Nicholas. When his wealthy parents died he inherited all their wealth, being a man of God, he did as his scriptures told him and gave away his vast wealth, looking after children, the sick and the poor. He was born in Greece, which now is the top part of Turkey. He became the Saint who cared for the children and the Saint to travelers, looking after them on their journeys. It is quite an interesting story, but one that does change depending on where you look him up. LOL, that was a long, 'thank you!!' I am pleased you enjoyed it! Sandra xsx

Very good little story poem about the true meaning of Christmas which is so often lost in all the holiday hype and shopping ads and wasteful purchases.

Thank you for this wonderful review, Rebekka! The fairy, Santa and Jesus are all a big part of Christmas in the eyes of children. Putting them together would feel right to them, so it is easy to slip a little lesson into the story without them realising it. I am really pleased you enjoyed the poem, and thank you once more for your lovely review. xsx Sandra

Both the art work and words are wonderful
This is how Christmas time should be.
The little baby born in a stable
Came down to earth to help us all.
He was God who made us all and came
To help us even more.

I don't mind some light-hearted writing with Santa as the topic, but it isn't my favorite. I was delighted to see the twist your poem took. Plus, your poem read very smoothly and had excellent rhyming couplets. Well done!

Thank you Eric, for your great review!! I am so pleased you liked it, we use what means we can these days! LOL, so many have commented on how I have brought, fairies, santa and Jesus together! But children do consider them as being that way. I just don't want them to forget the true story. Thank you, again! xsx

Would that it were true. I'm sure they are many children who still view Christmas that way, but I think it means something entirely different to many children. Great story. Ray.

You are so right, Ray, I was listening to children talking about Christmas, and it was all about what presents they wanted. Jesus and the Christmas message was definitely not on their minds. Thank you so much for the lovely review, and I am so pleased you liked it. xsx Sandra
