I seem to be on a hot streak lately writing winning poems from a young child's perspective. It has me baffled, but my wife says she understands perfectly...

This is a very cute poem written from a child's perspective. This has a lot of humor contained in its phrases. I would pick out my favorite stanza. But they all are oh so good. This was just a joy to have read and written this response for

Oh, Steve, this is absolutely deightful. I can see why your poem won the contest. Your playful rhymes, and turned phrases are very effective. So is the repetition of 'I almost'. Lots of fun, Steve.

Congrats on winning the contest! This is a fab poem and totally worthy of the accolade! This really, really gave me a giggle and it couldn't be more accurate about the craziness of a child! I wonder why I didn't receive an alert about this...:( I'm glad I found it.

Much love,

It was a 'blind' contest so they don't notify fans.... and actually there was a four-way tie for first place.

Very good Quatrain style verse showing a great sense of humor.
Your nice rhyming scheme let the poem flow along nicely, for easy reading.
Well selected accompanying drawing.
I chuckled through it.

Well done. Frankeddy

This is one of the best things I have read in a long time. I know children like this and they are so very inquisitive that it gets them into trouble.

This is a very ingenious and well written poem written from a child's point of view. I can almost relate to those days when my children were small. Congratulations on winning the contest.
