Hi Janilou:)
Thank you for sharing this wonderful parable of peace, truth and faith. One of my favorite songs is Larry Norman's song, Unidentified Flying Object so I am delighted to see his theme in your delightful short story.
I always look forward to hearing from you. I hope you can write some more good pieces before you start kidding around again and get too busy.

Now that's more like the alien encounter that we'll have sometime in the future. Well we probably already have but are unawared that's who they are. Great job.

You write very well. Your first two paragraphs display this quite nicely.
As a story, well, there are a few too many sci-fi cliches, and all this only to get a "We know Jesus" message. As much as I like the message, it just doesn't make for a very fun story.
I see in your bio that you have done well with your past stories, so I will be sure to check those out. Even in this piece I can see some talent hiding.
Thank you for posting, and be sure to keep it up.

You know, faith is something I have always struggled with but when I read this story I'm inspired to hear more. If you do a second part of this story I would love to read it. Please keep writing, what a very original idea! I'm sure this is unique to you. Amazing! Keep writing!

The premise is terrific--very clever and possibly true besides. I've always believed life on other planets is not only possible, but probable. It may not be life as we know it, but God, being the creator of all things, must certainly care for all of creation. Great job, Jani.

Thoese are very intrigue thoughts that the Lamb has died for all life forms everywhere. A very good read has a nice flow that carries the reader right along. A comforting thought that the troops hesitated before opening fire on the visitors, like so many sci-fi movies of the 50's. Great story.

I really like the story. It presents an interesting concept. Is there life on other planets? If so, have they a relationship with God?
The only "jump" in the story occurs about half-way in. All of a sudden there is an alien. How did he get there> Somehow you need to make Sandir arrive.

What a wonderful thought. That aliens, from however far away, could believe, do, and think the same things so many of us here on earth do. Neat concept, Janilou, I enjoyed this story very much.

I really liked your story and I don't believe that you are rusty at all. Wouldn't it be wonderful if such a thing could have actually happened.

Hi Jan,
Do you suppose most people automatically consider aliens enemies because they have a guilty conscience?
[ The alien extended his hand. ] He had already done that above, but it fits better here.
You may feel your writing skills are rusty, but I wouldn't have known it from the excellent prose you used in this delightful story. I enjoyed reading this and hope more of your work will soon grace Fanstory's pages again.
